…And On The Eighth Day She Rested: Honoring The Woman Almighty

Mikki Afflick sent me a message not long ago about the beauty of women and it made me think…Okay…May 8th is Mother’s Day, so why not do a little something in tribute for the strongest creatures God has ever made….yep, the woman.

What is the beauty of us? What are the characteristics that make us into what we are as women? See the answer through thoughtful, humorous and loving eyes by those in music.

I decided to name this post after a novel that I read long ago written by author J.D. Mason..and I’ll never forget that novel, for the beauty of us women, in my eyes and through my experiences…we have gone through struggles…and I mean STRUGGLES, no matter how severe, and our gift to spring right back into action. Not many women posses this, but it’s up to the rest of us that do to empower those who feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel…and to me, that’s what’s makes us the fiercest of creatures.

For me, beauty is the very essence of a woman, from the Y chromosome to her femininity. Her primary objective on earth is to nurture & love. Therefore, all women have the potential to be beautiful…. - Jebron Thomas, Vocalist, Jebron Music

The beauty of the women is loving your self the way you are. - Mikki Afflick, Soul Sun Soul Music

The beauty of a woman lies within her passon, whatever her passion is, she will see it, love it, nurture it, and watch it flourish no matter what. When a woman loves with passion, her love for “it” never fades. - DJ Celeste Alexander, Sophisticado Recordings

Their ability to calculate a means to survive whatever comes their way. There’s a mental strength in many women that far exceeds the physical strength of men. Also, their capacity to nurture & love. These things, among others, make women fascinating & dangerous. The dangerous part comes when a woman begins to utilize all these traits to manipulate those around her for no reason other than “ego.” - Lee Hairston, Senior Stylist, Next Vanity/Chief Admin of FB’s Dance Club Friends

The beauty of a woman is not simply measured by her outward appearance. It is determined by her ability to spread what’s positive and precious about her with all who encounter her. - Stephanie Cooke, Vocalist

Strength and resilience , an unmatchable will that women posses, the ability to mean the word NO even if they go back their inner sense and heart are always telling them the truth and they’ll listen. Their way of making you feel like a king or child though they are not your mother, or how a look they give you can shut you down, or make you war…. and the respect they demand with a stare…confidence in their speak but still gentle behind the tough act…..the ability to tell you they will always love you with not a word….. That is the beauty of a woman…Us men can’t do these wondrous things…and why we need you…or savages we would be.. - Matthew “Dirty Turk” Agostini, Vocalist/Owner, audioJazz Recordings

The beauty of a woman is measured by her ability to turn life experience into knowledge and apply that knowledge effectively and lovingly as only a beautiful woman could! Dayum…I might hafta write that down, sounding all deep and stuff! lol - Kelli Bigelow, F.O.N.O.

Beauty of the soul reflects in external appearance of each woman. - Tina Adamovic, DJ

The beauty of a woman, is an inner awareness that is omnipresent, unmistakable, and unforgettable. - Carolyn ‘Diamondancer’ Ferrari, Poet/Vocalist/Photographer

The beauty of woman is in her ability to shine from the inside out. Her Spirit exuding an undeniable “love” of self, family, life and her Higher Power; despite the hurt and pain, the obstacles and daily challenges. It’s her willingness to succeed at everything in her path and beyond her reach! - NIni EternalSol Juliano, ETERNAL SOL Promotions

Beauty comes from within, the outside glows after the inside’s flourished. - DJ Minx – Producer, DJ, Remixer, Owner, Women On Wax Recordings, Queen Beats, Skyloft Productions, LLC.

I’ve often said to people that a woman and beauty can be likened to a candy wrapper. Sometimes you can have great packaging and eye popping dressing for a wrapper. But most of us immediately do away the wrapper to know the inner beauty and flavors that make up that beauty. Sometimes you’ll have something bittersweet or no flavor….at times like a Kit Kat you’ll keep asking “what do you get?”  The real beauty is truly found in one that “really satisfies” and nourishes our soul that we have to stop and ask ourselves….”Got a moment?” to appreciate true beauty that cannot be compared. - Lex Luther Colon, DJ/Producer, Negro-Rican Productions, Triple Lex Recordings

I master ME, only You can be YOU…. - ChinahBlac, Vocalist

The radiant light with in each of us, the one connected to truth and love and wisdom. Is what makes anyone beautiful. How much we let it emanate and not cloud it governs how much that beauty is visually evident. Our smiles also do us justice! - DJ Kamala, Melting Pot Global

There was 4 beautiful women that I grew up with. My mom, who is resting in peace and my three sisters. As I was growing up to manhood, they taught me how to love and respect women. Women are totally different and unique from men. Thier spirit, passion about life and very seductive I might add. You women rock, can’t live without you. I can go on and on, but I want to. - Joseph Render aka DJ Chef Big Furious
