Wow. Talk about a badass show!

Do you ever have that feeling as soon as the first display walks out on the runway, you can tell the whole line is good? Yep, this is one of them.

If you are huge fan of designers Falguni & Shane Peacock (just like R&B cheerleaders Ashanti and Michelle Williams, who attended the show, dressed in FSP) you would have had a sneak peak simply by watching Madonna’s halftime show at the Super Bowl.

The Falguni & Shane Peacock label was launched in 2008 based in Mumbai. Already vets of London Fashion Week, Fall 2012 season marks their second showing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

The inspiration this season? Just be different! And it was with 35 avant garde, slinky and ever so sexy pieces to die for. Along from their signature feathers, prints and sequins, Shane wanted to cut back on the colors and keep more darker shades. All I kept saying to myself was, “Boy, it I had the body…” The best eye-popper was saved for last, a jewel and sequin encrusted catsuit that had me done. The jewelry, provided by Bel-Amun, gave the designs a cool and edgy touch to it making it a great combination.

The married (and never dull) Peacocks believe that life is too short to blend in. “We love the idea of elegance and intricacy, whether it is in a scarf or an haute couture garment,” they said. “Our sensibility, combined with a touch of high octane glamour and our devotion to rock and roll – the transition from chic to edgy, combined with a slightly wicked charm makes our clothes perfect for a rock and roll superstar.”

The collection was one of the most fierce of Fashion Week that I’ve seen. Congrats to both on a successful show!
