Osklen Creative Director Oskar Metsavaht is one of the first designers to go green in his show February 17th with his Endless Summer collection.

Using the fabrics through his e-fabrics project, Oskar created an array of prints and hues using fish leather and ecologic silk. The goal? To promote recognition of Brazil as the country of sustainable human development, preservation of environmental, social and cultural biodiversity as well as generate income and social inclusion.

The Endless Summer collection was all about Ipanema in mind. “It’s an imagined summer day that wanders between a road trip through the Pacific Coast Highway and a stroll through Ipanema’s sidewalk,” Oskar explains. “Where Brazilian soul meets California dreaming.”

I liked that collection did not have much of a retrospective look with some of the pieces. It was modern, tasteful and the prints are gorgeous…even on the organza!

Definitely one of my fave shows in my Top 10.
