BMB Entertainment, Cru Love and Sky Limit Group’s 2014 Impressions Tour sponsored by Marani Vodka, Synergy7 and Trea Day Management and Publicity, kicked off last weekend at the infamous House of Blues in the heart of Hollywood, California. The live Hip Hop and R&B concert was set off by popular dancer [for Beyonce, Tamar Braxton and J Lo] and dynamic vocalist Alvester Martin. Based on the crowd reaction, his “movement” from the dance floor to the stage may prove to be seamless! The tone quickly went from ‘turned on’ to ‘TURNT UP’…all the way; when Jersey rapper Camden Premo performed his new banger “Work” and “Move Something”, a collaboration by Alvester featuring lyricist John Born, known most for his visual art and custom painted boots and shoes for mega stars Chris Brown, Rick Ross and Nikki Minaj to name a few. After Born engaged the audience with his Keyz Da Don produced cut “Roll With Me”, the intimate show was rounded out by Charli Baltimore’s label; BMB recording artist Cash Paid who blew fans away with his high energy performance and Mid-West swag, then fellow Motor City rider Dre Butterz who laced the mic with a hip hop crooner style, reminiscent of the late and beloved Nate Dog. The last performer to rouse the House of Blues was charismatic Tennessee native Lil Lody (most popular as the go-to trap music maestro behind Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Plies and Yo Gotti). Also known as Lucci, BMB’s newest act revved listeners with his rambunctious style and memorable delivery of his latest single “GO.”
As individuals, each Impressions Tour act contributes different elements that appeal to multiple audiences. As a group, they’re out to grab 30 million impressions in 30 days-Hollywood was only the beginning. Next stop is New Orleans where the tour will hit the campuses of acclaimed HBCU Xavier University of Louisiana at 11:30 AM for a meet and greet and student-led press conference, at 3 PM the artists will perform a FREE charity concert at the Ashe Cultural Arts Center to raise awareness of the disparity in educational programming for under-served youth and then on to Dillard University, Cook Hall Auditorium for a live performance at 6 PM, tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.com.
