The lights were tricked fantastic at last night at Milk Studios as the fashion elite came together for the runway show of rock & roll glam designers The Blonds’ Spring/Summer ’16 RTW collection. Fashion 101 sidebar for anyone who are not familiar with this fashionable duo. The Blonds make up of Phillipe & David Blond and are known for their over the top designs, creating the ever famous bondage bra for Lady GaGa’s “Paparazzi” video.

Celebs in attendance for the front rows were Kelly Osbourne, Lady Bunny, Amanda Lepore, Patricia Field, ANTM’s Jay Manuel and the Divine Miss M, herself, Bette Midler.

“All gold everything” was their theme for Spring. The Blonds expressed how the Egyptians revered in gold, for they believed that gold was a divine and indestructible metal associated with the sun. The Pharoah was called “The Golden Horus” and the skin of the gods was believed to be golden, as well.

The show started off with Philippe giving a grand introductory walk down the runway in a gold Isis bodysuit with detailing that is absolutely stunning! Gem-encrusted motorcycle jackets, 24K gold details, reptilian dresses and without saying, the blonde wigs, followed suit. The Majesty Black gloves effortlessly accentuated the collection, but that black crocodile bustier maxi dress was the piece that just makes me wanna say “shut up and take my money”. Being a child of the nightlife, I was 100% sold. The collection certainly brought a huge aesthetic to the show, reminding me how fun, sexy and glamourous the scene is, and will always be. I had a fantastic time.
